Basic Human Face

Hey!! So this is my first tutorial. I figured I would start with my basic face drawing that I use for a lot of drawing.
First draw a circle to start the head.

2. Draw the chin next by drawing sort of a triangle pyramid as you can see in the picture.

3. Now erase the line made by the circle in the middle of the face.

4. Now draw your guidelines for the placement of the eyes and mouth and nose. One in the center of the face vertically, and one across the face slightly higher than the center.

5. Now start on the eyes. Draw a slight arch on either side of your center guideline. Try to make them as similar as you can.

6. Next draw a circle in each of the arches. These can be in any position in your eye depending on what direction you want them to be looking.

7. Now the details of the eyes. I like to add little highlights to the eyes to make them seem more alive.

8. Next the pupil. Basically drawing it behind the highlight.

9. Now we draw the nose. I like to just do a little curve since actual noses are hard.

10. Now the mouth! Often I'll do much simpler mouths than this with just a curve as a smile but here is a little more complicated one. I start with a shape like shown in the picture. (I don't know how to explain it!) Then I add an upwards curve underneath that shape, that isn't quite big enough to reach the end of the top shape. Then I add a line through the middle across the mouth.

11 . Now erase all the guidelines! And you're done!

Don't worry if it's a little messy. You can always erase stuff. Have fun and Draw!
